It was such a happy day when we walked in to Champaign Urbana Nursing & Rehab Center in Savoy, IL. It is a very inviting and pretty place! My mother had been in the hospital for about a week and doctors recommended rehab for her. She had been very close to death when she entered the hospital so we really needed TLC for her during rehab. The staff at CuRehab is amazing! Mother could not have had better care than she has gotten here. They are efficient, loving, and knowledgable in their care. I actually wondered how they found so many caring and happy people to serve on this staff! Nothing negative! Always pleasant and patient and ready to deal with situations that happen with elderly patients! Mother is walking better than she has for the past year due to their therapy and she is eating again! She loves the food and is happy with all her new friends! CU Rehab has been a real answer to our prayers!

Thanks to all the wonderful staff for all your tender loving care!
Three days after surgery at Carle Hospital in Urbana for a fractured femur, I transferred to the Champaign-Urbana Nursing and Rehab facility for recovery and therapy to get me back on an active life style. I choose this facility because years ago my late mother was a patient there and she recovered nicely from a hip replacement. This facility offers what I call aggressive physical, occupational and speech therapy. Their CUR-Unit provided my needed therapy in a comfortable living environment with other various activities, in-room or dining room served meals and excellent trained and friendly nursing, CNA and therapy staff that always called you by name. I live alone but the staff here has motivated and taught me how to continue to live independently in my own home. I am thankful for their expertise and would recommend this facility to anyone seeking a rehabilitation facility that provides excellent quality care.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you at CU Nursing and Rehab. All of you have a special place in my heart. You stuck with me during this tough time in my life and never let me give up. I am a Navy Veteran and despite my training at times it entered my mind to give up, but you did not let me. Your encouragement and guidance was the prime reason I stayed with it and now I can walk again. Each of you are very special: nurses; therapists, caregivers and administration. Thank you and bless each and every one of you.

CU Rehab is a little gem that apparently is not known to many in the CU community. My husband (who has been in the health industry his entire career) received excellent care after a very serious surgery and we were both very impressed and comfortable with the entire staff and rehab facility.

I have a cerebellar ataxia malady that sometimes exhibits itself similar to Parkinson’s or MS. The therapist at CU Nursing and Rehab are helping me to recover my full mobility after a setback brought on by a serious illness and a hospital stay. All of the staff has been encouraging, efficient and challenging. The “challenging” is most important to me as I want to get back to where I was. Each and every Therapist explain what they ask me to do and the rational for doing it. It all makes sense and that makes it easier for me to do the work!

You made me feel welcome and comfortable every time I came for Out Patient Physical Therapy.
I first meet you folks in a wheelchair and I move on feeling comfortable walking long distances with my walker and my cane. I am moving from “assisted living” at Windsor Court to “independent living” at Windsor of Savoy, and I owe it all to your persistent challenge to get better. And, I have.
When I arrived at CUR U it was like I was checking into a plush hotel. I feel like a Queen here! When I came I didn’t know what to expect. But the staff were very welcoming and concerned about my needs and preferences. When I call for help they are quick to respond. Because I am so comfortable here, it is easy for me to accept a level of care I never thought I would need. Prior to my fall I lived independently and I did not know how to rely on others for help. Thank You to the friendly staff at CUR U for teaching me how to trust a skilled nursing home. The food is good. The staff is compassionate. The care is great.

Due to my care at Champaign Urbana Nursing and Rehab I am maintaining my independence and returning home safely. The nurses and therapists are so friendly. I feel great during therapy because the therapists are nice while still motivating me. The nurses call you by name and truly bond with their patients. I would highly recommend the therapy and nursing care. I feel very welcome and comfortable here.

My mother, Helen Wright, has been staying and rehabbing at Champaign Urbana Nursing & Rehab since about December 15th. I live in the Boston area and thus can’t be there daily. I did have the opportunity to be there a significant amount of time the first week of January and see the daily events, meet the staff, etc.

I want to let you know how happy and grateful we are as the therapy care has been outstanding. Sarah and Tarkainian are amazing and have been doing an awesome job helping my mother recover. Both of them demonstrate great dedication, professionalism and compassion in providing the physical and occupational therapy my mother needs. They are a true asset to Champaign Urbana Nursing & Rehab.
Thank you for all of your help and assistance during this time.
